My upbringing in the diverse Uptown and Ravenswood neighborhoods of Chicago made me street smart and people savvy. Essentially growing up together with my single mom, I learned to be resourceful very early in life. I'm very proud to be the first person in my family to go to college and earn an undergraduate degree. So, with my B.A. in Economics from U.I.C. in hand, I aspired to be the next great economist...move over Milton Friedman!!
